Is It Jewish To Believe In Jesus?

Believing in Yeshua is the most Jewish thing that a Jew can do!

Here are a few important facts about Messianic Judaism:

“Yeshua” is the actual, original, Hebrew name for "Jesus," which literally means "Salvation."

The first people to believe in Yeshua as Messiah, were all Jews from Israel. His mother, Miriam (Mary), and all of the Apostles and first followers of Yeshua. were Jews who lived in Israel. These Jews brought the gospel to the world. Messianic Judaism today is a revival of something that existed 2000 years ago.

Jewish believers in Yeshua disappeared from the scene mainly because of persecution and anti-Semitism in the church, historically. Today, God is restoring Jews to faith in Yeshua.

Though modern rabbinic Judaism denies that Yeshua is the Messiah, the modern messianic Jewish movement has made it possible for Jews to believe in Yeshua without having to assimilate into gentile culture. Jewish believers today have a spiritual home in which they can raise their children to learn Hebrew language and custom, have ceremonies like bris, bar and bat mitzvah, Jewish weddings, keep the high holidays, etc. Today, Jews don’t have to cease being Jewish when they realize Yeshua is Messiah.

Messianic Judaism has made it possible for Gentiles to worship Yeshua together with Jews, according to the God-given culture of Israel. Messianic synagogues provide a spiritual home for non-Jews who are called to walk with Israel and who feel at home with the lifestyle and culture of the Jewish people.

Messianic Judaism holds to the belief that the bible is 100% accurate, true and the infallible word of God, both Old and New Testament.

Messianic Judaism is the one and only biblical Judaism, and the restoration of a faith given to Israel by the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob long ago. Modern rabbinic Judaism is not based in the bible, nor is it an accurate continuation of the Judaism that existed in ancient, Temple times.

Today, there are messianic synagogues in practically every major city of the world where Jews can be found.
