Rabbi Michael Stepakoff leads our annual Temple New Jerusalem Passover Seder

Join Temple New Jerusalem’s Passover Seder led by Rabbi Michael Stepakoff!

Join us for an extraordinary experience at our Passover Seder, a tradition celebrated for thousands of years. This event invites you to step into the story of the Israelites’ escape from Egypt, where they lived as slaves and their journey to freedom. Every year, Jewish people remember this powerful story, and now you can take part in this timeless celebration.

Rich Symbolism

Led by Rabbi Michael Stepakoff, the Seder will guide you through the rich symbolism of each element. You’ll eat matzah, the unleavened bread that symbolizes the haste with which the Israelites fled Egypt. You will also enjoy four cups of grape juice or wine, representing God’s promises of freedom. The Seder plate will feature foods like bitter herbs, which remind us of the hardships the Israelites endured, and charoset, a sweet mixture symbolizing the mortar they used while building bricks in Egypt. This sweet dish reminds us that even during tough times, hope and sweetness follow.

The Haggadah

As we journey through the Seder, we will read from the Haggadah, a book that leads us through the rituals and recounts the Passover story. Rabbi Michael Stepakoff will share his knowledge and insights, making the ancient traditions relevant to our lives today. You’ll gain a deeper understanding of the meaning behind these powerful customs.

Whether you are attending a Seder for the first time or have celebrated many times before, everyone is welcome. The event is interactive—you’ll have the chance to ask questions, sing traditional songs, and join in prayers with the group. Come alone, with family, or with friends, and be part of a warm, friendly community.

Worship and Praise

This Passover Seder is more than just a meal—it’s a chance to reflect on history, celebrate freedom, and build connections with others. Join Rabbi Michael Stepakoff for an unforgettable evening that brings hope, freedom, and faith to life. Don’t miss out on this meaningful event!
